A further iteration of Bridges-built-burnt for Satellite Anthem, a group exhibition curated by Kate Just for the City of Melbourne Assembly Point vitrines.

A single colonial brick has a complex presence. It may represent displacement and development, migration or mistreatment simultaneously. Born from a body of research into early brickmaking in Australia and New Zealand, this work grapples with the framing of difficult, multifaceted histories.
