Presented by the Centre for Projection Art for LIGHT WINDOWS, a world-wide project produced by HoloCenter, New York encouraging artists to display light art in the windows of homes and venues around the world and share a message of unity and hope during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Job Options is a single channel projection that focuses on the notion of trapped labour. The aim for this memorial is to put labour that often goes unseen on display.
The tenants in the flat below me knew that when they lit a fire, smoke would come up through my chimney and leak into the living room. If, for whatever reason, I annoyed the wife, the husband would light a fire. Here, I clean that chimney.
